By the way, the hypothesis that people living in a place with no flat lines
in the floor will get nuts is experimentally testable even without a space
habitat, I think. You have just to build a big hollow sphere and put some
people living inside it, occupying the lower cap. People in this place would
see all surfaces around them going upwards. A control group would be kept in
a dome habitat (i.e., flat floor) otherwise similar to the spherical one. Of
course I see several obscure points even in this experimental design. For
instance, how to objectively measure if a person is nuts or not?

Anyway, I've *never* heard that such experiment was ever done (in fact, the
biggest spherical structure that I know is the one at the Epcot Center, and
as far as I know it was never used in scientific experiments ;-), and so I
wonder how experimental evidence was collected favoring that hypothesis.
