Hi,
saw this in the Calgary Herald,Oct/15
September Warmed Planet To Record High
Washington/The Associated Press
Worldwide it was the warmest September on record,
the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Adminstration
said Friday.Averaging 0.63 degrees celcius above normal
for the month,it was the warmest September since 1880
according to NOAA's National Climatic Data Center. The
average US temperature was 1.4 C above average for the
month of September.Only the West Coast and Parts of the
Rockies were near normal.Louisiana had its warmest
September in 111 years and 27 other states were above
average. For Sept. rain and snowfall across the country
were below average with unusually dry conditions for
much of the East coastand parts of the Plains and the
Northwest.Georgia,South Carolina and Maryland had their
driest September on record.
Have read in the newspaper that Glaciers all over the
world are in retreat, that the Arctic and Antarctic ice
is shrinking steadily and if the trend continues the
ocean levels will rise about 55m(180ft),that will
affect coast lines and coastal cities and towns around
the world.I really do think that now is a good time to
start building O'Neill Space Colonies.
