I'm as liberal as you can get.

I'm offended by you assumption about the left being anti-technology and absolutely astounded by your believe that the right is pro-technology.

The left consists primarily of women, minorities, and post-graduates whereas the right is disproportionately under-educated white males. The left supports real science in science classes, engineering, and technology. The right supports flat-earthers and potentially violent religious zealots. At least as far as technology goes, the premise of your story is completely false.

Now your focus on SPS is indeed admirable, but very narrow. More nuclear power plants would also help. And there's wind, solar, etc.

Besides power plants we need to also concern ourselves with reducing fossil fuel emissions that come from ordinary traffic. There's progress down this road with new engines, new and improved fuels, better catalytic converters, etc.. but things somehow need to speed up without being to harsh to the consumers.

We can do nothing and let nature (or God) let out her terrible rage upon us sweeping away large swaths of life across the planet or we can dare ourselves to take up the challege, make the call to arms, and seriously go to war on this.

It's worth it.

CO2 levels today are the highest for 650,000 years.

Solar power satellites are the obvious answer, but nobody is
discussing this in the mainstream....why?

The first obstacle to overcome is to convince the majority that
global warming is in fact caused by human CO2.

I have noticed that believers and unbelievers apppear to be
polarized.

The believers tend to be left wing environmentalists who are anti-
technology.

The unbelievers tend to be right wing pro-technology types.

The challenge is twofold:

1) Convince the believers that technology (SPS) can actually solve
the problem in a benign way, and

2) Convince the unbelievers that global warming is human driven, and
that there is an opportunity for technology to solve the global
problem.

Where do we start with this?
