This a better explanation. It still leaves a lot to be desired. The
explanation is that something similar to mechanical friction transfered
energy into the plasma. It doesn't make sense to me. It doesn't matter
how the energy is stored or released. If the total energy released is
more than the input this explanation doesn't cover it.

The information available are mass media news releases and don't say
anything useful and mostly just cloud the picture.

Did anyone read the Feb. 24 issue of the journal Physical Review Letters
on this subject?

Our best hope for breakthroughs are from experiments where the results
are not what was expected just like this one. However I am not a
believer at this point.
