I note the milatary is studying a circular mag lev
track to accelerate 10 kg payloads into orbit, as a
possible suppier of raw materials for space
industrialization at 1/100 current launch costs. Could
also be used to launch small missles or really
acceleration hardened satellites(capable of tolerating
2000 Gs of angular acceleration) . Is this something more recent than the Bill Cowan effort at Sandia Labs? Do you have any pointers?
