I remember reading and article about trails of dust that mars leaves
behind. It was after one of the more recent probes. Apparently the
solar wind caries dust particles from the upper atmosphere of mars off
to an unknown destination somewhere in space. The article mentioned a
similar phenomena suggested by probes sent to Venus also.

That got me thinking - Has anyone ever searched for a "dust trail"
from earth. I doubt it because we don't send the same types of probes
to earth.

Now here is the dozy- If there is dust being carried away from earth
it may contain many of these microorganisms as well as larger things
such as mold spores, all of which contain DNA. And, if that's true,
DNA has been leaving the earth via solar wind in all directions (away
from the sun) for the last 600 million years. How far do you think
it may have traveled?

I am not an expert on "pansperma". I'm just a Geologist. But, it would
not surprise me if DNA was found elsewhere the universe. It seems to
be a leap of faith that DNA exists only on our planet
