Space Settlement

It's nice to see this group coming back o life again...

I don't think the issue of A.I. is as complex as some would make it
out to be.. Not only is it "coming" but in a sense it has already been
here for a decade or so... The problem is that it's only at about the
level of a 2 year old child.. But considering the processing and
multi-threading power of our brains is so much faster (normally), and
that we are constantly rewriting our code for improvement (hopefully).
It's only a matter of time before these things come together to
resemble what most people think of as being "A.I.".. It's not like it
will come as a huge shift.. It's an evolution of the technologies
coming together exponentially.. We're not talking hundreds of years or
even dozens.. More like "within the next decade" or so.. We will
barely even notice the change because we will adapt to each
development as they come.. There may be a few jumps.. i.e.. Quantum
computing, super-conductive nanomaterials, Optics, coding, etc.. But
it will all be phased in over time..
