Vertical Farming as Space AgricultuAnalog

Here's an idea. Take 65 hectares (just over 160 acres) of old
farmland, cover the whole thing with a vertical farm of, IDK,
twenty-five stories. Cover the top with a park, and a rectenna on top
of that (a rectenna lets light through, so why not?). The rectenna
provides the power to run the vertical farm.

Twenty-five floors of 65 hectares each gives us 1,625 hectares, or
4,015.46 acres, or 6.27 square miles of year-round farming. This
assumes that stories are not further subdivided, which they almost
certainly would be.
