The shielding requirement for human habitat is done by
putting everything but humans on the geometrical
shell.

Lightweight materials for shielding include foam and
aerogel.

Foam is usually done on the ground but could be done
in space to create some structure to say a balloon
like system.

Aerogel needs to be done on earth but could be done by
a cell or ceiling tile approach.
