Sorry. I'm here and have been following the conversation. It hadn't struck me that the conversation had gotten too far off topic, because I'd have to admit that if somebody could successfully establish that the cost of nuclear energy could be made to decline markedly, it might well be the death knell for SBSP, which might consequently mean that we space settlement advocates would have to scramble to devise a new business plan. That fact that I (and perhaps even the vast majority of subscribers)might disagree with the optimistic assessment of nuclear power did not to me mean such discussions should be shut down.

From the rash of off-topic posts recently, it is apparent that the SSI
List isn't moderated (or the moderator has gone on vacation. ;)

How about folks keeping their posts relevant to space, particularly
space development and not our other non-space pet issues.
