Powersats on Discovery Channel RIGHT NOW!

We who have been thinking about this for the last 35 years sometimes forget that the general populace has not been so educated, looking at the pros and cons and the engineering dilemmas, mulling over the possibilities. What we need is a great deal more exposure in the mainstream media(preferably NOT the Fox network) since most of the US probably still get their info from that. I subscribe to a few science sites and always try to find some way to mention Solar Power Sats and O'Neille colonies in the comments section but of course, it depends on the subject being discussed how effective my comments might be. A balanced presentation, of the interlock between ground based solar, wind, wave, and Sat. power could go a long way toward dissipating concern over pre-emption of the favorite ideas of someone else. We really need ALL such solar based technology to be developed if we're to get to a Type II civilization.
