Considered together or not at all

I came at this kind of sideways.

The raw engineering realities are that SBSP cannot be done without
low cost transport to GEO. Even proposals to obtain ET materials
need much lower cost than present prices.

But the cost of developing a really low cost transport to GEO are so
high that without the SBSP market, it makes no sense to invest the money.

So if you are going to consider power satellites as a replacement for
fossil fuels at all it has to be done in the context of a low cost to
GEO approach.

I have one Rube Goldberg approach (Google oil drum henson) that looks
like it could get down to the required cost. If anyone has another,
or an improvement on what I have presented, please speak up.
