Um, no, any violation of conservation of momentum would be new physics
(thus the Nobel prize). If it's not new physics, then your numeric
analysis is flawed.

(A flawed analysis, in combination with frictional effects in your
experiments, is of course almost certainly what's going on here -- it's
easy to fool yourself. And no, I'm not going to go through your math
and find your mistake for you. I once had made a similar mistake, and
scratched my head over it for a couple of weeks until someone was kind
enough to point out the balancing force I had missed. Hopefully someone
will do the same for you -- and if not, go get your Nobel.)
