Yes. I'm always surprised when intelligent people advocate lunar solar
power for the Earth -- the disadvantages over GEO powersats seems so
obvious.

(I can imagine LEO powersats though, which have some problems of duty
cycle and movement with respect to the ground, but compensate for that
with dramatically smaller/easier transmitter requirements.)
