Asteroid/Space Resources Question

All you need to do is Google "iron" for its specific density(7.894 gms/cm^3) and then calculate the number of cm^3 in an iron asteroid one kilometer on a side to get the mass of iron with which to build.
The mass of a space colony depends on its overall dimensions. For instance, a cylinder shaped colony with walls of iron, a meter thick and measuring one kilometer in diameter and one km long would be about,,,ok, YOU do the math.(as a rough guess, it would be about 500 such colonies from a one km asteroid).

Hello All,
How much mass in materials/metals does a SSP require or your typical O'Neil type habitat? I just wanted to know give a rocky/metal asteroid of so many (million)tons, and if you could totally mine and refine it, how many SSPs or habitats could you build from it?

Also is there a limit of how many SSPs we could put in GEO before we would have to worry about collisions? Ditto for placing Habitats in either HEEO or L4 or L5?

I have a few ideas for some stories and just wanted to what is possible/reason if you could fully exploit asteroidal/space resources
