Why bother building a telescope on the moon?
just as well as a few thousand kilometres of rock and metal. If it's in space
then it can point anywhere whereas on the moon you can only point it at half
the sky (probably not even that). In space you can point at anything you want.
Better off just going straight for the mass driver and building the telescope
in space.
