There are some problem areas here, though. Heat and sound conduction would be vastly reduced in the thinner atmosphere. I've also heard people worry about the effect on plant transpiration. One thing Savage said in his book which was flat-out wrong was that such atmospheres would be less of a fire hazard. They'd actually be more, do to reduction in heat transfer.

He seemed awfully confident electro-stimulation of muscles would solve all the problems. I don't remember if he mentioned the heart muscle, though. And then there's also a reduction of the immune response after prolonged 0-G.
