Hi Joe,

Thanks for your comments. Could you explain a bit more about the host not responding.

Also, I agree with your concern about the project in respect to others gone by. I am addressing this by focusing completely upon their short coming. Yes they had great technical ideas but they lacked the funding. So, I only consider the funding. I have a singular project which will have a singular mandate, to establish and maintain one lunar colony. I will use the funds to contract(!) for all the design, implementation and maintenance.

Why an independent effort you may ask? I don't see governments getting the mandate from their voters to establish a lunar colony. The voters want their tax dollars to improve their lives on Earth not expand their borders. Yet, I believe that enough people want a future in space so by using the world wide web, their interest and resources can be collected.

Also, by aiming for a self-sustaining colony and eventual trading partner, I am addressing the failure from Apollo. That is, the fun won't be over with the first foot on the ground. We can see a similar challenge with Planetary Resources and their kickstarter-Arkyd project. How does a space satellite fit into asteroid mining I wonder? No, my project is for a clear singular mandate that has no end condition. Initially we establish a lunar colony; then we support a trading partner.

Again thanks for your comment and please keep them coming,
Mark
