FYI,
: being moved to a new venue and date, in order to boost attendance.
: The SSP Workshop organizing committee has decided to add the SSP
: Workshop to the IEEE International Conference on Wireless for Space
: and Extreme Environments(WiSEE) (http://sites.ieee.org/wisee) which
: will be held in Baltimore, MD, November 7 9, 2013.
: The IEEE WiSEE conference immediately follows the very large IEEE
: Sensors conference at Baltimore (http://ieee-sensors2013.org),
: which provides an opportunity to integrate travel plans and
: participate in three events (IEEE Sensors, IEEE WiSEE and SSP
: Workshop) during that week in November 2013.
: The SSP Workshop will be an IEEE event and can accept both
: presentation abstracts (through the same SSP workshop site) as well
: as full papers through IEEE. Full papers will be peer reviewed and
: published at the IEEE Explore;
: The SSP workshop abstract site will continue accepting abstracts
: through August 10; SSP authors and presenters that are willing to
: submit a full paper, shall have the opportunity to submit their
: paper by Sept. 1, 2013 via WiSEE's EDAS system
: (https://www.edas.info/newPaper.php?c315), and choose the SSP
: 20113 track. The paper format and submission will be consistent
: with the IEEE WiSEE Conference.
: In the wake of recent travel restrictions, the organizing committee
: believes that the location, association with IEEE, integration with
: IEEE WiSEE and the timing (right after the large IEEE Sensors
: conference), should enable a larger better attended SSP event in
: Baltimore.
: The hotel registration site of SSP Workshop will be closed and the
: registration site of IEEE WiSEE will be used for registration. The
: registration fee however slightly increases to $299. The IEEE WiSEE
: registration rate is $499 for presenters; SSP Workshop presenters
: will receive a $200 check from IEEE after their registration.
: Please see SSP website for more information.
: We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause, and thank
: you for your support for SSP. We also would like to thank our
: Supporters Michigan Tech, SSP Institute and Upper Peninsula Power
: Company (UPPCO);
: Sincerely,
: SSP Chairing Committee
