In addition, Elon is thinking of launching BFR from a floating platform.
If he does that, I would expect they could float it down to the
equator if the extra delta-V is worth it.

(I'm not sure it will be, though; that thing has so much margin, and is
meant to fly so frequently, that it might be more cost-effective to just
launch closer to the spaceport and burn the extra fuel.)
