A 24 mile diameter sphere (38.6 Km) is pretty big. Still, I can't help but think that with materials like Kevlar or Spectra we could go bigger. That's not considering grapheme or carbon nanotubes or some as of now unobtainium material.
At this point you could have wildlife parks or winter wonderland sporting resorts. You start getting into things the size of some of the smaller American states or some of the smaller nations around the world.
