This forum contains an archive of the messages in the now discontinued Yahoo SSI-List email list. 

The Yahoo SSI-List group ran from its creation in October 2000 until Yahoo closed all of their groups in October of 2019. The email messages in this group contain a wealth of technical information that is well worth preserving online.

Many of the members of the Yahoo SSI-List group moved over to https://groups.io/g/spacesettlers when it was closed and discussions continue there.

It is important to realize that the posts in this group were originally email messages and as such were present in the archive in a wide variety of complex email formats. The messages have been converted into HTML based posts as well as is possible and they are now collated by subject line into threads. Some processing has been done to clean the messages up, however, since they were originally email messages they do look a bit less tidy than is typical of forum posts. The username associated with each post is the tag given to it by Yahoo at the time of posting - these are not OrbHab community usernames.
