what I think a problem is, of what material you make this domes, normal
class won't do, maybe plastics? Does anyone know how? Also what if an
asteroid or anything hits the dome? How to make it secure enough? Can anyone
answer these? Those I think are the biggest problems, but hey maybe there's
a simple solution =)

I can't see why temperate glass in a metal frame could not be used. The only
potential problem that I see is thermal stress, but since the dome (or,
better saying, the glass lid) would be in contact with an internal thermally
regulated environment, then I don't think that that problem would really
manifest.
