Zubrin's stacked arguments

he talks about interstellar civilization. Obviously this follows far more
easily from space settlements than from Mars settlements.

If for no other reason than that orbital settlements make ANY solar system a
candidate for settlement, and not just the ones with planets close enough to
Earth to be terraformed.

Another thing that's annoying is that you can't drag it out of Zubrin that
orbital habitats might conceivably be built until talking about an
interstellar civilization of the very distant future.
