Zubrin is a great advocate. An advocate argues for a position, rather
than chooses a position based on argument. The position is chosen for
some other reason. In this case, Zubrin likes Mars. I like space
settlements. The arguments have nothing to do with this.
visions. For example, most people at NASA and elsewhere take for
granite that Mars is the next big target and are shocked that I'm not
all that interested in Mars (beyond scientific interest, and there are
lots of those).
I wish we had an advocate with similar talent and drive. I've seen him
talk. He's terrific.
