I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but the star wars system was
never implemented. Even if it was a concave mirror in HEO could easily
concentrate enough sunlight to melt any satellite. Banning asteroids
is not going to decrease the vulnerability the earth governments are
in. Anyone who controls the space around earth controls earth.
