Yes, there is some truth to that. Also, I don't consider what I have and
what I have been doing with this to be all that much. But all of you
started with no idea of what the MUOL is, so what I have now is quite a bit
when you have nothing on the subject.

And I am a little paranoid. I am a little nervous about the idea getting
away from me. With all due respect, this community is full of a lot of
chiefs and very few Indians. I am concerned about the ego-driven politics
that collaboration will bring to this discussion. I have seen many good
ideas explode in the face of such politics. Often times such projects get
bogged down in dealing with the personalities rather than the issues
involved. Nonetheless, I cannot do this alone. Input and help are required
and it is this community that is best in a position to help me. >>

I want to mention something from "Bringing Your Product to Market" by Debelak
from Entrepreneuer. The author said that in his job as expert who help
products reach market, he noted that thousands of new concepts are submitted
every day. Very few will make it to market. So the people who wish to profit
from stealing tends to ignore the untested ideas and try to steal ideas that
are already proved to be marketable. So the bottom line is that you don't be
afraid to talk up your concept. Make sure you get your credit for it. Sign
your name and date on every paper you work on. Rubber stamp everything. But
whatever you do, tell everybody about it. The more exposurse you have the
better the chanch of making your concept a reality. Another thing for people
who may not know it is that patents can protect only the designs as
submitted. It will not protect the changed designs. When the patent
application can go into thousand of dollars, it pay to go ahead test the
product in market before applying for patent for the marketable one. Since I
am not a lawyer, talk to one, but keep your eyes open.
