Asteroid Belt First

Hello-o-o-o is anybody out there-e-e-e?

Still feverishly pursueing 200 people expedition to asteroid belt,
I found that book advocating hollow asteroid approach in case
anyone's interested. It's the 1964 "Islands in Space" by Cox & Cole
library ref #629.4 C. John S. Lewis was apparently impressed &
mentions it & idea a few times in his 1996 book "Mining the Sky".
"Mining the Sky" also mentions idea I'm all excited about to eliminate
problems w/electrolyzing water & storing liq. O2 / liq. H2 propellant
(one of tangoman's critique points). Go to nuclear or solar reflected
energy supply & just use water as the propellant. Claims we can
obtain same specific impulse as liq H2 / liq O2 rocket engines.
To get past environmentalists cant we just send the hazardous
waste toward Jupiter to get swallowed up like Shoemaker-Levy?

My concept on financing (another of victoriatangoman's critique's)
is if we could get 2,000,000 John Q's interested in the venture
instead of a few billionaires. For $200,000 commitment each of the
investors would be entitled to emigrate with a family of four. Note
$200,000 is less than price of average home in my area.
That's a total of 8,000,000 emigrants or 800 colonies if we just
stay with & mass produce the 10,000 population fiberglass/toroid
design. Still think we have to build that first 10,000 population
colony by hollowing 1-km metallic asteroid to get started.
Ran ad in local paper & one response asked me if I have
any "sign-on's" yet. Answered "no"; anyone in group interested?
