Interestingly (if off topic), it turns out that fight shown in the movie
'Black Hawk Down,' which drove the US out of Somalia, was an ambush set
up by Islamic extremists, specifically, various front organizations
hiding Sudan and Iran's control. Iraq also contributed a little bit,
and Osama bin Laden was in charge of logistics. The success there was
an important part of moving bin Laden's career forward into the highest
circles, and convincing him that the US was weak and could be pushed out
of Saudi Arabia with an attack or two ala 9/11. Sources: Inside al

Also, some believe the George Bush sent American soldiers to Somalia as
a trap for Bill Clinton. Clinton's foreign policy inexperience was
bound to get him in trouble there. Can anyone think of any other time
George Bush used or advocated using the US military for charity?
