Calcium has a lot low density than Aluminum (1.54g/cc versus 2.7g/cc)
and so has a slightly better conductivity/weight ratio than Aluminum.
That means you can make it a bit thicker than the aluminum and still be
underweight. For space vehicles that is likely to be an important attribute.
