Normally, I'm all for having hard objective evidence backing up
positions, but it's always hard to compile that data at the start of
shifts, trends, experiments etc isn't it.

That's why it's my subjective opinion based on anecdotal evidence
rather than something more definitive. It's argument versus
evidence. If my prose made that unclear, I'll try to make the
distinction between what I know objectively and what I think
subjectively a little clearer in the future.
