Still waiting for what passes for a ruling in these parts re
topicality of tech vs. purpose.
IMVHO, the tech will be ***SO*** different a century or two hence,
why fret that NOW...when the sheer time-scale of competing-paradigm
colonization mandates that most of us alive and in advocate mode
right now (who are not independently wealthy and/or sdufficiently
credentialled to sway both legislatioh and research budgets within
our own lifetimes) concentrate upon how HUMANS will function Up
There.
That's the multi-generation frontier, folks: R&D, heavy industry,
agriculture, Human and livestock husbandry AND ENHANCEMENT (ditto the
frantic pace technology). Rub some garden dirt on your palms this
weekend, folks, and think about how your grandkids are gonna "make
sky" in a tin can...
