Even more worth it (and more in line with NASA's new direction) to
put it in a lunar polar orbit. The current deorbit plans and the
spacedaily article both involve having a remote vehicle rendezvous
with the Hubble; why not one that has a bunch of gyroscopes, backup
batteries and solar panels, backup computers and communications
gear, and an ion engine with enough fuel to put Hubble into a lunar
polar orbit?
