Hi everyone!
in a habitat is ideal from the point of view of a "biosphere". Creating a
feeling of diurnality in terms of time is trivial, creating the motion of a
solar day is much harder, possibly essential, and I think needs addressing.
Secondly, reflected light is polarised light - you might have minor
problems with regards to your insect life if there's no direct light source
and if it's all done with mirrors. Bees, for example, navigate via
polarised light when direct sunlight is not available - if a mirrored
apparent sun is present, and polarised, who knows what they'd do? (Adapt,
probably, but it's one of those unknowns...)
