It would really be spooky if space development were bootstrapped by suicide
asteroid settlers that go to a rock with the sole purpose of smashing it on
Earth.

Fortunatelly, it is not a likely scenario in the foreseeable future. Terrorism
is the weapon of the poor, and so I would not think that Al Qaeda has the
billions and billions of dollars needed to develop a fleet of asteroid
tugs...
