sci-fi

Sci-fi books have frequently got it right while Scientist and Engineers frequently get it wrong - remember the heavier than air vehicles which would not fly! Even Leonardo thought they would fly! Look at the books written by Jules Vern.

P.S. Came across an interesting tid bit. Jules Vern's books were a deliberate collaboration with his Publisher (who pushed whom?)to bring to life the 'existing' knowledge in science. Perhaps some potboilers which focus on the initial phases of space exploration would be timely. Does NASA spend any money on this? Sponsor competitions on Space Fiction?
