How to fill a new Habitat?

OK. Let's take the mortgage idea and run with it.

10,000 people... Make it 3,000 housholds of one to four people each
(maybe a five-person family or two in there, off-set by several
singles). So 3,000 home-owners. Each of them sells his/her/their
house and barrows 100,000 buckaroonies in the form 30-year mortgages.
If the houses are 150,000 bucks each, then each of these 3,000
investors is contributing a quarter-million dollars.

250,000 * 3,000 = $750,000,000

Is this enough to finance an Island One? Well, it isn't enough to go
from "at last, it's starting to happen" to the first 10,000 folks
moving in, but after the first few are built? Or how about 3,000
multi-millionares each plucking down $10 million? There are plenty of
multi-millionares who have spent $10 million on a home.

For an Island Three, make it 100,000 multi-miilionares.
