I didn't realize until the Cassini news reports that Saturn's rings were
mostly water ice. For about two minutes I rejoiced in the potential to
cheaply harvest them for water for space settlements. But then I realized
that nothing would draw the attention and ire of Greenpeace and others
faster than decimating this beautiful natural wonder to make drinking water.
Europa who cares, comet Xizplitz-Schmurakami what's that, but Saturn's
rings? Fuggetaboudit, as they say in Brooklyn.
