I wonder, has there ever been a hard science fiction show on TV that
has been successful? I'll get to Gundam later. Mixed feelings there.

I have really enjoyed some hard SF stories over the years (Mike, just
read your latest. Very good, as always). I also love science
fantasy, like Star Wars (Wookies) and Star Trek (Vulcans). I am a
HUGE fan of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Barsoom series. Can't wait for the
movie. But what I DON'T like is science fantasy masquerading as hard
SF. If it's sold as HSF, then leave the alien conspiracies and
spychic powers OUT. Are you listening, Mission to Mars?!
