Scramjets: looking for information

Well, do a Google on "X-43" for a start. The X-43 is NASA's current
scramjet project, expecting another launch test in the next few months.

And I agree with you that anyone seriously contending for the America's
Prize would be closely watching the X-43 project, as it might indeed get
them closer to SSTO.
