Hi friends,

TangoMan, what a wonderful movie was 2001 of Kubrick and Clarke. Look
at its merits:

(1) From the technical point of view is the best projection about the
future that was ever made. Even today, 35 years later, looks quite
realistic.

(2) From the symbolic point of view, 2001 is a real amazing story,
closest to a Medioeval Cathedral than a common movie. As examples,
these symbols appear in the movie: the phylosopher stone, cabalistic
symbols, the leviatan, Nietzche overman, Cain and Abel, the Mesiah.
All so well done nobody notice at first sight.

(3) The humanity in the treatment of the story is superb.
I believe, and many others do, that 2001 is one of the best movies
ever done.
