L5: First City in Space

finding and posting your review.

Star Trek: TNG's holodeck is very, very cool. Now the good thing
about something cool showing up in movies or television is that it's,
well, cool. The bad thing about something cool showing up in movies
or television is that suddenly, everybody wants to do something
cool. The *same* something cool. And, as holodecks (or something
like them) seem a much nearer-term technology than warp drive or
transporters, there is a big, even overpowering temptation to throw
them into anything set in the future.

Even O'Neill included a special "breckfast nook" in his 2081 book.
And he wrote that before (I think) TNG.

I like your "Christmas Eve" thing, and when I'm a gazillionare and
making TV shows and movies set in the High Fronteir, I'll use it. ;)
