Suppose, just for the sake of argument,

that I wanted to build something that would simulate low gravity for
children, even teenagers. Maybe even overweight sedentary couch
potatoes like me. Whatever it is, it needs to be safe enough for
kids to use, simple enough for non-engineers like me to build, and
cheap enough for non-millionaires like, well, ME, to build. It
doesn't have to be exact to more than about 0.01G. It doesn't even
need to be adjustable (1/6thG, 1/2G, 1/10G, etc.). Although that
would be nice.

How should I go about it? Pulleys and counterweights? Something
attached to the roof, with a harness for each kid, that lets them
walk along the brick wall of the garage at 1/6th G? And whatever it
is, how do I build it?

In all truth, I have another project for the nieces & nephews that I
need to finish first. I am no where near finishing this other
project, so I probably will never even begin this low-G thing, but
maybe somebody else can build it.
