CO2, which would be piped directly to the greenhouses

and a nitrate ash, which he said would be used as fertilizer

I think his notion was that we don't need to provide the plants with
large, complex molecules. We break wastewater down to small, simple
molecules, and then it become the plants' job to build them up into
large, complex molecules once again.

I assume there would be some kind of sedimentation process to remove
grit and bits of metal rust and other such junk.
