Zubrin criticism

Perhaps the best argument against Zubrin and Mars is simply this.

Most of the technology Zubrinand his colleagues will need for Mars is
either based on Junk Science and not likely to prove out. Most of teh
rest is still theoretical.

The Science for manufacturing space islands is pretty solid. Much of it
alrady here in one form or another.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
