... then OK, it takes FOURTEEN Ag-Island pairs to
feed the whole world with plenty left over.

With most of the Eath's population living in cities (affluent
cities), and little or no need for food production on the planet,
much of the Earth could revert to -- wilderness and/or parkland.

Whew!, -for an instant I thought you might say parking lots &
high rises. [not exactly a 'reversion' but many would likely not
appreciate the distinction]

[There are those who see a forest and call it "unspoiled", and
those who see the same forest and call it "undeveloped"...]

But the "wilderness and/or parkland" option will be the only one since
with "little or no need for food production on the planet" you are
going to have a problem if you have food coming in from space and no
natural way of recycling the resulting wet garbage and human waste.
Some can be converted to chemical stock I suppose but I doubt that the
economics would prove attractive. Currently we are not recycling
nearly enough and the result is unacceptable levels of pollution.

-As for feeding "everybody in the Solar System" I think you would do
best by perfecting the closed system approach.
