So what are you gonna do? Say that courts have no power? That they
have power only so long as *somebody* thinks they haven't gone too
far? Who's going to decide that? Me? You? We to put better people
into the job, and not just those who will "respect the law" (meaning
of course to only "legislate from the bench" when it's convenient to
libs or cons).

See, it looks like you're talking about the legal age to rent movies,
but it seems that you are alctually talking about age of consent. Do
you have anything to back this up about RBG? I have to admit, twelve
seems a bit young to me.

None of her emplyer's business. Cruelty to animals? I suppose so,
and I can see the police geting involved, but the employer needs to
mind her own beeswax.

Hello, fines for eating fattening food. Right now the gubmint
says "you really shouldn't do that," but under your rules, they could
fine or arrest you for it.

Well, it is expected that some will be shocked and disgusted by what
others are not shocked and disgusted by. But leave the government
out of controlling disgustedness and shockingness as much as
possible. And if ere we must, then let us ere on the side of
