Where does this idea come from that Europe is doomed because it does not at
present match America's birth rate? Falling birth-rates have always been a
given for a technologically sophisticated society with longer lifespan.

It must also look to the world and society its giving those children. By
contrast with Europe, America seems teetering on the brink of becoming a
religious state, has segregated itself from the Geneva convention, is in
psychotic denial over climate change, and forces poor parents to choose
between rent payments and medical treatment for their children.

The assumptions made back in the 1950s were overly optimistic, and in many
ways counter productive. For example the strain on Britians pension schemes
is caused in no small part because of the NHS's success at keeping people
alive and healthy. This illustrates the dangers of social engineering -
dangers that apply to you as well terriekeeper. Consider that before you
start insisting you know what's best for society.

Ah. A fundamentalist christian. Thank you for making it quite clear where
you stand.
