REMEMBER THE MAYFLOWER?

Funny question to ask here. Though I think it relevant for in the
future many Mayflowers will be leaving this earth for space to settle
their human cargoes in space habitats to establish new communities
and generations later new nations.

As a Child I was raised on the story of the Pilgrims.

On television every November had stories of the Pilgrims. Cartoons
about their early years. Hollywood did a movie starring Spencer Tracy.

In School we did skits and had coloring books about them. We heard
about the Pilgrims fleeing religeous intolerance in England to be
dumped at plague depopulated Plymouth Bay before winter and how many
of them died. How Squanto walked in one day and introduced himself.
And how they got along with the natives. How they learned to grow new
crops that helped them survive. How they celebrated a bumper harvest
with a Thanksgiving Feast which they shared with their neighbors.
Ironic that the holiday seems to have had them deleted.

Liberal revisionists have cut this all out. Other than the History
Channel, I saw no refurence to the Pilgrims or the Mayflower or Miles
Standish or Squanto or any of their many many bits of history. It's
like the Fourth of July with the Declaration if Independence and
Gearge Washington removed. Care to imagine that?
