There is little exotic tech for mining, but for refining there is. For
example iron smelting techniques would be needed, metal seperation
techniques that don't involve gravity, techniques that conserve water,
or atleast a very good water recycling method.
earth is not economically possible. In space it would probably be one
of the cheapset methods.
